Frigørelsens Paradoks

VII.D Appendix

VII.D.1 Appendix Analytical presentation level III, II and I

Level III

Experience = witness = object (samadhi or experience of God)

Level II

experience = (witness --- object)
experience = ("experiencer" --- "the experienced")
experience = (witness --- images)
--- means in Yin-Yang relationship

Level II/I = borderline state (often called meditation): experience = (witness/ego --- thinking/images)

Here, depending on attention and compliance, people fluctuate between I and II, i.e. the person fluctuates between feeling like a witness and ego on the one hand, "subjective" side, and between experiencing thinking and experiences (images) on the other, "objective" side. Here, there are therefore 4 different possibilities for forms of experience, even though one actually falls under plan II and two others under plan I:

  1. The witness experiences images (this is a meditative state and therefore falls under plan II)

  2. The witness experiences thinking (e.g. scientific research method)

  3. The ego experiences thinking (scientifically this is wrong, but the person experiences it this way, and that is the essential thing. The person believes that he is identical with the ego and thinking, because the person learned that as a child. This form of experience falls under plan I, the state of mind, and is experienced as a prison, since the ego and thinking are two sides of the same coin)

  4. The ego experiences images (scientifically this is also wrong, but it can be experienced by the person temporally in the meditative practice, where a 'pure' experience is experienced once again by the ego of precisely to understand or interpret the now past experience. And since it happens very quickly, it can be experienced by the person as if the ego has experienced something - see the description under plan I.)

THIS LIMIT STATE, WHERE BOTH I AND II EXIST, IS THE SCIENTIFICLY CORRECT STATE OF CONSCIOUSNESS THAT WE ALWAYS (except for experiences on level III) FIND OURSELVES IN.

Actually, this level II/I 'embrace' both II and I, which can be seen from the four possibilities. The reason I call this level a limit state in this context is that the starting point is analytical.

LevelI

experience = (ego separated from object).
The person experiences being identical with the ego and thinking, no awareness or attention to the witness.

witness = ego = subject = thinking (because that's how it is experienced).

Follow drawing to illustrate:

A -> B: experience of object (both internal and external)

B: the person has learned that reality is understood through thinking (the mind), therefore

B -> C: the witness (the person) sends the experience for interpretation in thinking (the bio-computer),

C: which interprets the experience in terms of separation, logic, ideology, etc. Here in the land of thinking, the experience is filtered in accordance with the internalized ruling ideology: the ego.

C -> D: The ego or thinking sends the interpreted experience back to the witness (the person), who now experiences reality in accordance with his or her ruling ideology.
